Petition launched on school funding

Croydon Liberal Democrats have launched an online 'Save Our Schools' petition to increase the pressure on the Labour Council and Labour Government to solve the funding crisis.

The 'Save Our Schools' petition calls on Croydon Council and Education Secretary Charles Clarke to provide the proper funding that local schools need.

The petition is one of the features of a new-look website for Croydon Liberal Democrats (www.croydonlibdems.org.uk).

"With local schools facing a black-hole in funding, we need to do everything we can to force Labour to sort out their mess," said Liberal Democrat Cllr Ian Atkins.

"The online petition is another weapon in our fight against Labour's incompetence and mismanagement."
