Croydon Lib Dems have launched their Manifesto for Croydon on the web

Croydon Liberal Democrats have launched a Manifesto for Croydon.

Fresh from their sensational by-election win at Dunfermline and West Fife and Sir Menzies Campbell's decisive election as party leader, Croydon Lib Dems have enjoyed a substantial rise in membership, rising by over 10% in March alone.

"These are exciting times for the Lib Dems," said Coulsdon East councillor, Ian Atkins.

Launching their first Manifesto for Croydon, fellow candidate Simon Hargrave said: "This document emphasises our commitment to localism and to Croydon in particular."

The manifesto includes proposals that will:

  • Combat local crime

  • Help to protect the environment

  • Improve the transport infrastructure

  • Sort out Croydon's finances

"By launching it on the web, we are also emphasising our long-standing commitment to the environment," said Simon.

Elections to Croydon council take place across the borough on May 4th.
