Local Liberal Democrats have shown how they are listening to the people, by collecting and analysing hundreds of survey forms filled in by local residents.

Almost 1,000 issues have been raised by the people of Coulsdon and Old Coulsdon over the last few months.

The most frequent subjects mentioned were:

  • Policing (24%)

  • Vandalism & graffiti (15%)

  • Buses & trains (11%)

  • Litter (9%)

  • Roads (9%)

Local Liberal Democrats have policies addressing all of these issues, to campaign for the following:

  • On Crime, to strengthening Neighbourhood Teams, oppose the closure of Kenley police station, re-introducing Park Rangers.

  • On transport, to extend and expand the 404 bus route, to establish a service for the Tollers estate, to have more trains serving Coulsdon South, continue to campaign for speedy road and pavement repairs.

  • On litter, to install more litter bins, especially outside take-aways.

Forms were offered to almost all the households of the Coulsdon East ward and 250 were returned.
