Abigail Lock, Sutton Councillor and GLA candidate for Sutton and Croydon

Abigail Lock has been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Sutton & Croydon for the GLA (Greater London Assembly) elections next May.

Already a councillor in Sutton, Abigail can speak with authority about Liberal Democrat initiatives which tackle problems.

"I am determined to ensure that everyone has the chance to make the most of their life, no matter their background," says Abigail.

Her priorities for London are:

  • To get the Mayor to give a fair deal to outer boroughs such as Croydon.

  • To alleviate poverty through the provision of affordable housing.

  • Improving and expanding public transport and powering the Underground with more renewable energy.

  • Reducing anti-social behaviour through responsive Safer Neighbourhood teams, better education and employment programmes.

The GLA oversees the Mayor of London.
